FRICTION FINDER - FRICTION FIGHTER
IXL penetrates 3 to 5 microns deep into the microscopic pores of ferrous based metals. The treated surface is now denser and smoother, thereby reducing friction by up to 75%. This surface conditioning is extremely durable withstanding engine dry start and lubrication starvation problems. The result is minimum metal wear, giving maximum engine, gear and equipment life.
IXL is an anti-friction metal conditioner which uses oil, transmission fluid, air-conditioning oils and freon, power steering fluid, hydraulic fluid, grease and/or water as a carrier to reach points where you have pressure and heat. IXL goes to work on these points reducing friction on ferrous-based metals up to 75%.
IXL does not contain graphite, moly or TFE. Since it is a metal conditioner, it treats the metal 3 to 5 microns deep, leaving a residual friction fighter behind so engines do not experience the problem of "Dry Starting". IXL withstands temperatures exceeding 1500 degrees and makes cold starting easier, even in sub zero temperatures.
The initial treatment starts when normal pressure, friction and heat (minimum of 100 degrees) between metal surfaces activate the IXL ion.
Reducing friction will release energy previously expended to overcome ordinary mechanical resistance. This energy is now available as a positive force, working to increase power and performance.
IXL CONDITIONS THE METAL NOT THE OIL
IXL is not a Lubricant Fortifier such as Graphite, Moly or TFE
IXL cannot build upon itself
IXL will not change critical tolerances
IXL will not effect oil filters
Protect tons of equipment with ounces of IXL!
Without a doubt, the greatest amount of engine wear occurs during initial start-up. Tests conducted by McDonnell Douglas and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has indicated that a great deal of engine wear takes place in a few seconds of cranking time when the engine is first started.
Think of it this way: The last time you drove your vehicle, the warm engine caused the oil to flow freely from the engine to the oil pan when parked. With a warm engine this happens in a few seconds. The next time the engine is started up cold, the oil now is in the oil pan, thick and cold. Since cold oil doesn't flow as easily as warm oil, you may notice that it takes a few seconds for the oil pressure gauge to rise, or for the indicator light to go out. This results in oil starvation during these few seconds. It is estimated that the first 30 seconds after a cold start up is equal to a 500 mile drive, insofar as bearing wear is concerned.
To solve this problem, add 2 fluid oz. of IXL engine treatment to each quart of engine oil, whether petroleum or synthetic (initially, then 1 oz. per quart as a maintenance treatment). For either gas or diesel engines, IXL enables oil changes to be extended as well as reducing start up wear by 60% to 75%. IXL metal conditioner treats the metal 3 to 5 microns deep, thus allowing pre-lubing of the engine before cranking. Protect your engine with IXL the friction fighter.

HOW IXL WORKS
WHERE METAL MEETS METAL
IXL is transported to friction points in a carrier such as oil, grease, freon, hydraulic fluid, etc… even water.
The initial treatment starts when normal pressure, friction and heat (minimum of 130°F) between moving metal surfaces activate the IXL ion.

Test Methods: |
Computer via satellite on all fuel mileage records, new truck with Detroit Diesel engine. |
|
Problem: |
Fuel mileage is a problem with all large truck lines. This line has 1500+ trucks. |
|
Initial Test: |
The average fuel mileage from 5/7/96 through 6/7/96 was 6.27 mpg overall. |
|
Treatment: |
IXL was placed in engine and transmission and rear axles. |
|
Test Results: |
Since being treated with IXL, the unit has achieved a remarkable 9.45 mpg. Detroit Diesel Corp. has sent a letter regarding IXL; while Detroit Diesel Corp. does not endorse our product, they have stated in writing that "use of this product will NOT void Detroit Diesel Corp's warranty." |
