Where Metal Meets Metal IXL is transported to Friction Points in a carrier such as oil, Grease, Hydraulic Fluid, etc. The IXL Ion Friction Fighter IXL penetrates 3 to 5 microns deep into the microscopic pores of ferrous based metals. The treated surface is now denser and smoother, thereby reducing friction up to 75% increaing horsepower and mpg. The treated metal is extremely durable and able to withstand engine dry starts and lubrication starvation problems. IXL can't build upon itself and will not change critical tolerances. The result is minimum metal wear, giving maximum engine, gear and equipment life. IXL conditions the metal not the oil. However, it is not a lubricate fortifier such as graphite, moly, or TFE. IXL will not affect oil filters or clutch disks. Application Ratio is typically 1oz IXL per quart capacity. 1 quart of IXL will treat up to 32 quarts of oil. Retreatment is recommended every 3rd to 4th oil change or every 10,000 miles.
